Max Nathan joined the IPO team in 2025 to assist in the firm’s expansion in Indiana, as well as providing multifamily investment services in Michigan. His work comprises market-rate and affordable multifamily transactions, with a focus on acquisitions and dispositions. His experience includes traditional stabilized and value-add properties along with navigating LIHTC, Project-Based Section 8, and affordable housing preservation assets.
Prior to joining IPO, Max was part of the SVN brokerage office in Metro-Detroit handling a variety of commercial real estate transactions. Along with his brokerage role, he was a co-founder of Sylvan Lake Capital focusing on sourcing distressed debt investments for real estate and private equity funds. Max entered the commercial real estate industry as a project manager with a national real estate developer, where he gained expertise in commercial development, along with exposure to acquisitions, financing, and asset management. Max has also worked in financial services obtaining his series 6 & 63 licenses focusing on financial planning and investment advisory.
Max graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is licensed as a broker in Indiana, and a sales associate in Michigan.
